The Milburn Psychology Practice has clinics in Hastings and Brighton, East Sussex and offers the following:
Milburn Psychology Practice is not limited by the referral criteria that apply to some other health care providers, so whatever difficulties you are experiencing I will be happy to discuss them with you and see if I can be of help. The practice aims to provide you with a wide range of fast and flexible services that are now less available in the NHS.

Fees:
Competitively priced mental healthcare for children, families and adults. The aim of the practice is to keep your costs to a minimun. The fee is payable by cash, cheque, or online banking.
Healthcare insurance:
Milburn Psychology Practice is registered with major private healthcare insurance companies, including AXA, Bupa, Cigna, and WPA.

Confidentiality
Dr Milburn is registered with the information commissioner and implements the provisions of the Data Protection Act, regarding the transfer and storage of confidential client information. However, if any patient discloses information that indicates either they or another person are at risk of serious harm, Dr Milburn has a duty to disclose this information to a pertinent third party (e.g. GP, Social Services, next of kin if under age 16). If Dr Milburn has to share this kind of information he will always try to talk to the child or parent involved first, if appropriate. Contact with other professionals and organisations is made only at the expressed request or with written consent of the individual or parent(s)/carer(s). It is recommended that a copy of any reports provided by Psychology East Sussex be sent to the family GP, as they will retain medical responsibility and are central in the professional network involved with the individual and family.
Policy for cancellations and missed appointments:
Please contact the Practice as soon as possible to let Dr Milburn know if you would like to cancel an appointment. Please note that the Hastings clinic has a 48 hour cancellation policy; where an appointment is cancelled by a client with less than 48 hours notice, the fee for that session will be charged. The Brighton clinic has a four day cancellation policy; where an appointment is cancelled by a client with less than four days notice, the fee for that session will still be charged.

Emergency:
Milburn Psychology Practice does not provide an emergency service. In the event of a mental health emergency you are advised to contact your G.P. services, NHS Direct 111, Mental Health Helpline 0300 5000 101 or should the need arise, go direct to your local A&E.
Facilities:
The waiting room and consulting room comprise the 2nd floor of a beautiful period building, centrally located in Wellington Square, Hastings. The central, but discreet location offers quiet rooms furnished to a high standard. The practice also runs a regular clinic in Brighton.

The practice has convenient and flexible office hours, including evening appointments.
